His penchant for hitting double hundreds is universally acknowledged and skipper Rohit Sharma will be eager to make his 200th appearance for India a memorable one with a solid performance against a below-par New Zealand in the fourth ODI here Thursday.

With the series already sealed, Rohit, who has a good record as stand-in captain and has three double hundreds in ODIs to his credit, would aim to tighten the noose around New Zealand in what could be another batting friendly track at Seddon Park.

A 4-0 lead will be India's biggest series win (across formats) in their 52 years of touring New Zealand having first visited the country back in 1967.

For India, the two remaining matches give the side an ideal platform to once again test the bench strength and give the younger men a feel of match situations.

The status of Mahendra Singh Dhoni's hamstring injury is not known but according to team sources, there is nothing much to worry about. A decision on Dhoni's availability will be taken before the toss on Thursday.

In case Dhoni is available and the team management avoids tinkering with the combination, he will walk in as Virat Kohli's replacement. Kohli has been rested for the remiander of the tour.

However, if the visitors opt for a like-for-like replacement, then Indian fans could get a glimpse of the immensely talented Shubman Gill in the senior team jersey.

Billed as one for the future, many experts have found a striking similarity in the 19-year-old Gill's strokes with the ones that Kohli plays effortlessly.

"I wasn't even 10 percent of what he (Shubman) is, when I was 19," Kohli had said after India's series win in Mount Maunganui.

Following Kohli's effusive praise, Shastri and Sharma might just give Gill a go and check if he can also be an option at No 4, where Ambati Rayudu has done a decent, if not spectacular, job so far.

In case both Gill and Dhoni are included, Dinesh Karthik could well be rested.

The bowling department also looks settled with Kuldeep Yadav (8 wickets in 3 games) and Yuzvendra Chahal (6 wickets in 3 games) accounting for 14 wickets so far in the series.

But Mohammed Shami, who has won back-to-back Man of the Match awards, could be given some rest as he has been playing non-stop since the start of the Australia Test series.

In case Shami is rested, Khaleel Ahmed or Mohammed Siraj could be given another chance to stake their claim for the reserve pacer's slot available in the World Cup squad.

For New Zealand, everything seems to have gone haywire since the start of the series and skipper Kane Williamson has agreed that they have been completely outplayed by India.

Their biggest problem has been the inability to read Kuldeep and Chahal, who have inflicted the maximum damage on the home team. Shami has also been pretty lethal in his first spell.

Williamson has got starts but has not been able to convert them with scores of 64, 20 and 28 so far.

Martin Guptill, an otherwise dangerous player, has also not been able to survive the new ball.

Tom Latham and Ross Taylor have performed occasionally but none has been impactful consistently enough to change the complexion of the game.

In the bowling department, the incisive Trent Boult has lacked support and Lockie Ferguson is far from a finished product. His was considered a USP but has been his biggest weakness in the series.

Seamer Doug Bracewell and leg-spinner Ish Sodhi have also been mediocre, which makes the job of the 'Black Caps' tougher in the last two games.

With all-rounder Jimmy Neesham added to the squad, he could well feature in the playing XI as the home team seeks some consolation from the humiliation that they have encountered so far.

Squads

India: Rohit Sharma (captain), Shikhar Dhawan, Ambati Rayudu, Kedar Jadhav, MS Dhoni (wk), Dinesh Karthik, Hardik Pandya, Kuldeep Yadav, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammed Shami, Yuzvendra Chahal, Shubman Gill, Khaleel Ahmed, Mohammed Siraj, Ravindra Jadeja.

New Zealand: Kane Williamson (c), Todd Astle, Trent Boult, Colin de Grandhomme, Lockie Ferguson, Martin Guptill, Matt Henry, Tom Latham (wk), Colin Munro, Jimmy Neesham, Henry Nicholls, Mitchell Santner, Tim Southee, and Ross Taylor.

Match Starts at 7: 30 am (IST).

After dominating New Zealand in first three ODI's, India are all set to continue their winning streak in the fourth match at Seddon Park in Hamilton on Thursday.

Indian skipper Virat Kohli has been rested for the last two ODI's and T20I series and in his absence, deputy Rohit Sharma will take charge.

The visitors might make some changes in their playing XI to give ample rest to the core team. There is still uncertainty on whether veteran Mahendra Singh Dhoni will make an appearance as he suffered an injury before the 3rd ODI. If Dhoni is not declared fit, it is quite probable that young Shubman Gill might get a chance to debut.

While Mohammad Shami might also get the rest after heavy workload from past few months, left-armer Khaleel Ahmed may be given a chance to make a comeback on the squad.

The hosts, who have been performing consistently poor in last three matches, recalled their experienced all-rounder Jimmy Neesham in the squad.

Neesham's inclusion will bolster New Zealand lower-batting order, which was miserable in the last three matches against India's fierce bowling attack.

Match Prediction:

Kohli absence might make a difference in the match but India will still enter the match as favourites after taking the unassailable 3-0 lead. Kane Williamson and Co. will play for the pride now, while India have nothing to lose in the series now.

Predicted Playing XI of India and New Zealand 4th ODI:

India Probable Playing XI: Rohit Sharma (C), Shikhar Dhawan, Shubman Gill/MS Dhoni, Kedar Jadhav, Dinesh Karthik (wk), Ambati Rayudu, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Khaleel Ahmed, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Hardik Pandya

New Zealand Probable Playing XI: Ross Taylor, Martin Guptill, Kane Williamson (c), Doug Bracewell, Colin Munro, Trent Boult, Tom Latham (wk), Ish Sodhi, Mitchell Santner, Lockie Ferguson, Jimmy Neesham

Former skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni was seen training in the nets after he sat out the 3rd ODI against New Zealand due to a hamstring, making it only the third occasion when the veteran stumper was forced out of the playing XI.

At 37, Dhoni has been one of the fittest Indian cricketers of the current generation and it's a rare occasion when fans witness an Indian line-up sans his name in white-ball cricket.

The last time he was out of the playing XI was way back in 2013 when he missed three ODIs due to a hamstring injury in a tri-series in the West Indies.

Now with Dhoni back in the nets, it's still quite uncertain whether he may make an appearance for the 4th ODI, which practically seems to be a dead rubber as India have already taken an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five-match series.

The BCCI took to Twitter to upload a few snapshots, with Dhoni, Dhawan, Khaleel and Pandya training. Take a look.

It is quite possible that the reserve players might make an appearance as Khaleel or Siraj can come in for Shami, who has had a hectic schedule so far. Youngster Shubman Gill may get to debut and come in place of rester skipper Virat Kohli for the remaining two ODIs against New Zealand.

A formidable Indian team completely dominated an out of sorts New Zealand for a series-clinching seven-wicket win in the third ODI, continuing to send a resounding message of its near invincibility to every World Cup opposition.

With an unassailable lead in the five-match series, skipper Virat Kohli signed off his tour Down Under on a high with a first ODI series win in New Zealand in 10 years.

  • FIFA Points will not be sold in Belgium anymore
  • Belgium Gaming Commission and EA have been in discussions for months
  • Loot boxes in video games are at the heart of this controversy

EA Sports will not sell FIFA Points in Belgium any more. The move comes after months of discussions with the Belgium Gaming Commission, which had declared video game loot boxes to be in violation of gambling rules in the country. While EA obviously doesn't agree with this interpretation of the law, it appears that the game developer doesn't have a choice in the matter any more. This means that people can use their existing FIFA Points in Belgium but not purchase them officially in the country. FIFA Points are a core component of FIFA Ultimate Team, the extremely popular online mode in FIFA.

You can buy FIFA Points with real money and use these to open card packs to get better players in the game. The catch is that very rarely do card packs feature players worthy of making it to the Team of the Year. Most people start off with average players and if they keep on grinding for months without paying, they have a small chance of assembling a decent squad in FIFA Ultimate Team.

EA's decision to shutter loot boxes in Belgium comes a few months we wrote that it's risking being on the wrong side of law in the country. If more countries ban loot boxes as Belgium has, then EA will have to reconsider how it implements these in FIFA. EA's statement reads: “After further discussions with the Belgian authorities, we have decided to stop offering FIFA Points for sale in Belgium. We're working to make these changes effective in our FIFA console and PC games by January 31, 2019.”

Effectively this means that FIFA Ultimate Team is going to become a long grind for all players in Belgium because no one can pay to speed up the progress. While EA does claim that all content can be earned through gameplay, it takes way too long to do so for most people and that may impact its player base in Belgium. “We apologise to our players in Belgium for any inconvenience caused by this change,” EA said.

EA does feel that by showing the probability of finding certain types of players in packs, it has created a fair system that's not akin to gambling. “While we are taking this action, we do not agree with Belgian authorities' interpretation of the law, and we will continue to seek more clarity on the matter as we go forward. The impact of this change to FIFA Ultimate Team in Belgium is not material to our financial performance,” EA's statement read.

However, that remains up for debate because the Belgium Gaming Commission clearly doesn't agree with EA. Perhaps taking a leaf out of Fortnite's book could help EA as Fortnite now clearly shows which weapons are in loot boxes thanks to newly introduced X-Ray Llamas.

Melbourne, January 30: Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan is all pumped up ahead of their first Test fixture against Australia which is scheduled for next year. The bowler admitted that being the newest Test-playing nation, it is “more than a dream” for Afghanistan to play Test cricket against Australia in Australia.

The 20-year-old said that they have played a lot of T20 cricket here but playing Test matches on “big bouncy wickets” would be an entirely different experience.“From Afghanistan, playing Test cricket against Australia in Australia it's more than a dream. Afghanistan Star Leg-Spinner Rashid Khan: Cricket Has Changed Everything in the Terror-Effected Country.

Afghanistan got the full membership and last we played against India in India and now we're playing against Ireland in India and then Australia here,” Cricket.com.au quoted Rashid, as saying.“Being a player, it means a lot.

Against Australia, playing Test matches is a huge achievement and me and the players are really looking forward (to it). We played here (in T20 games) a lot but … Test cricket is very different. Pretty excited to face the quick bowlers here, big bouncy wickets,” he added.

Giving an instance of recently concluded India-Australia Test series, the right-arm bowler said that the wickets here are “very tough” to bat on and that he is hoping to not get a bouncy track like Perth.“As we have seen against India, I think wickets are very tough here to bat on, especially in the Test cricket. I hope that we don't play in Perth, we play somewhere else on a good wicket to make some runs and a little bit good for the spinner as well,” Rashid said.

He added that the key against Australia would be to control their nerves during the pressure situation“Pretty excited about it so let's see how it goes. We have the talent, we have the skills but to control our nerves in the pressure situation, that will be the key.”Afghanistan were granted full ICC membership June 2017 after which they played their first Test against India, 12 months later in Bengaluru.

Next, Afghanistan will be playing a one-off Test against Ireland from March 15 to 19 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Dehradun. After that, they will take up the Zimbabwe challenge in August, Bangladesh in October, West Indies in November-December and then Ireland again in March 2020. The team will face Australia in the Test format after the conclusion of 2020 T20I World Cup which will be hosted by Australia from October 18 to November 15.
