GMSSS-20 win netball trophy
Chandigarh, January 27
Government Model Senior Secondary School (GMSSS), Sector 20, defeated Tribune Model School, Sector 29, in a closely contested match 9-8 to win the girls’ U-14 title on the concluding day of the 12th Kailash Bahl Netball Trophy, here on Saturday.
CL DAV School, Sector 7, beat Sacred Heart School, Sector 26, 5-4 in the bronze medal match. Meanwhile, CL DAV boys won the boys’ U-14 title by defeating KB DAV School, Sector 7, 12-10. The Sector 20 government school team claimed the third position by defeating Sri Aurobindo School, Sector 27, 6-2. KB DAV team won the boys’ U-19 title by defeating Sri Aurobindo School, Sector 27, 8-6. Moti Ram Club defeated Prince Club 12-8 to claim the third position. In the girls’ U-19 final, Dev Samaj Club outplayed KB DAV School 20-15. The Sector 20 government school registered a 6-5 win against Unified Club to finish third.
