About 150 runners from across the country and abroad took part in the Ponmudi Hill Marathon that was recently held in Thiruvananthapuram. The event, which was organised by I Ten runners club in the capital, is probably the only such event of the country held at an elevation of 1,000 feet. Jino Antony from Thiruvananthapuram won the first place in the men's category and Alicia from Germany came second in the women's category.
