Ranveer Singh And Varun Dhawan All Set To Star In The Remake Of 'Andaz Apna Apna', But Here's The Twist
Recently, there has been quite a buzz about the remake of Salman Khan's film 'Andaz Apna Apna'. Reportedly, Bollywood actors Varun Dhawan and Ranveer Singh have been approached to play the lead roles but there is a twist as the two of them will be cast in the film with different characters in a different story.
In the 1994 film, the lead roles were played by Salman and Aamir Khan. A leading media website revealed that the producer Vinay and Priti Sinha, are planning on an 'Andaz Apna Apna' remake, but it will not be a sequel or a remake but will be something rather exciting.
The director has stated that the original film was absolutely amazing and that one should not touch such a great film, and ruin it with a remake or sequel.
The news of Ranveer Singh starring in the 'Andaz Apna Apna' remake was confirmed by him during a live Twitter chat.
During the live social media chat session on Saturday, December 22, a fan asked the actor if he has any plans to star in out and out comedy film, to which the actor said that he is hoping for something crackling to come along and is looking forward to work on something in that space. The actor further hinted on the making of 'Andaz Apna Apna 2' and self-casted himself suggesting he would love to work for the venture.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Ranveer is currently basking the success of 'Simmba'.
Directed by Rohit Shetty, the film is an official adaptation of Jr NTR-starrer Telugu film 'Temper'. It narrates the story of a corrupt cop Simmba who belongs to the same town of DCP Bajirao Singham, the character of Rohit Shetty's previous film franchise 'Singham'. He enjoys being a corrupt cop and takes full advantage of its lifestyle until one day his loved ones are abused. He eventually finds himself transforming and is forced to choose a more righteous path.

As for Varun Dhawan, he recently completed the shooting of his upcoming film 'Kalank' and was last seen in 'October'.
